Mickey Mouse Short Film

Disney has been avoiding using Mickey Mouse in any new animated movies, mostly out of fear of hurting the Disney brand. But things have changed. The studio is planning to create an animated remake of the 1952 musical comedy "The Stooge" with Mickey and Roger Rabbit.

And today, Walt Disney Animation has unveiled the first of nineteen planned cartoon shorts that feature classic Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy and more. The short is called "Croissant de Triomphe" and revolves around Mickey as he avoids obstacles in Paris in order to deliver croissants to Minnie's cafe.

The shorts are created by Emmy Award-winning artist and director Paul Rudish ("Dexter's Laboratory," "The Powerpuff Girls"). Watch "Croissant de Triomphe" below, and stay tuned for other shorts as they become available.
