Team we believe in the promotion of local short films
Our Philosophy
Addressing the existing and future challenges at our time, means putting networking at the
central of development more than ever. Our strategy shows how we will use communication as
a core element for all of us to succeed.
Without open and inclusive approach, film-making in Malta is lacking to achieve its potential.
In the Maltese film spectrum a disparity exists, between one filmmaker and another, in
intellectual, financial and human resources.
The means of communication are increasing. Changes are being experienced in the ways
individuals, groups, organisations, and others, strategically plan and operate. In similar areas
many are relating and sharing information and knowledge with each other. This revolution has
barely started in Malta. There is a need for the information and communication revolution to
be deeper, more open and inclusive.
Our Mision
The Malta Film Icon is a non-profit entity of Maltese citizens who are passionate about film making. These may not be necessarily working in or earn income from the local film industry.
The online forum provides a means of networking both with amateur and professional film makers.
In addition, members can share their personal cine experiences and discuss them with each other. The organisational idea is to have independently Maltese film makers which interact via the internet.
The website is open to all people with interests in all areas of film making. This include fields such as scriptwriting, production, distribution, directing, acting, lighting, cinematography, sound, music, editing and post production to name a few.
